HOW TO APPLY YOUR TEMPORARY TATTOO:

First, choose where you'd like to apply your tattoo. Looking for placement ideas? Check out our article WHERE TO PLACE YOUR TATTOO ?

  1. Make sure your skin is clean, completely dry, and free of oils or lotions.

  2. Prepare a bowl of water and a sponge (a small piece of a terry cloth towel works too). MAKE SURE THE SPONGE IS THOROUGHLY WET — DO NOT WRING IT OUT TOO MUCH. Then remove the clear plastic film from the tattoo.

  3. Place the tattoo INK-SIDE DOWN on the area you've chosen.

  4. Make sure the tattoo is fully in contact with your skin.

  5. WET THE PAPER BACKING using a small piece of terry cloth towel that has been thoroughly wet and wrung out. Make sure the entire paper is well saturated and that the paper STAYS FIRMLY PRESSED AGAINST YOUR SKIN.

  6. Hold the paper firmly in place. It should NOT MOVE and must remain FULLY IN CONTACT WITH YOUR SKIN FOR 40 SECONDS.

  7. Gently peel the paper away from your skin, STARTING AT ONE EDGE (just like removing a bandage). As you peel, make sure the tattoo is transferring properly onto your skin. If any part of the tattoo hasn't fully adhered, gently press it down with your finger.

  8. Let your tattoo DRY FOR 5 MINUTES.

  9. SET YOUR TATTOO WITH POWDER (talcum powder or loose setting powder) to help it last longer and give it a matte finish. PLEASE NOTE: Your tattoo may look slightly shiny at first, but this will fade over time. The longer you wear your tattoo, the more naturally it will fade, giving it an even more realistic, lived-in look.
